Veteran Family Farm Day

Veteran Family Farm Day is a free community event created to bring veterans and their families together for a day of connection, hands-on activities, and time outdoors at The Painted Buffalo Homestead + MakersSpace.

Families will have the chance to spend time with the animals, explore the homestead, participate in maker stations, enjoy food, and connect with local organizations that provide resources and support for veterans.

This event is about more than simply spending a day on the farm. It is about creating a relaxed space where veterans can meet other veterans, families can connect, kids can explore, and everyone can experience the value of working with their hands, being outdoors, and being part of a community.

Throughout the day, guests can expect activities such as beginner-friendly woodworking, art, welding or maker demonstrations, farm and animal experiences, children’s activities, food, and opportunities to meet veteran service organizations and community partners.
